Narrative

What 
we did a super hero writing 




So What 

A  few weeks ago room 24 did a superhero writing.In my story my real life best friend Crystal is my sidekick in my story and in her story I'm her sidekick.

Now What 
My goal is to work on my spelling and use paragraph.

When the year 5 s was on camp

When the year 5 s were gone on camp Mrs Casey came to be our reliever teacher it was so much fun. We did sand art,art and my favorite was the word search I did it with my best friend Crystal and we also did this dragon thing where you need to use tiny pieces of wood to make it was a lot of fun.

 We did cycle safe last term and it was really fun

So What
I enjoyed doing the cycle safe when we are at the round about when we need to let the person from the right side to go first .

Now What
I need to work on things around me and understand where to ride on the road .

LITERACY WEEK

What

This week was Literacy week and there was a lot of activity like SDW/stop drop and write and also SDR/stop drop and read.

So What

What  I really liked about Literacy week is  SDW/stop drop and write because normally we get to choose about what we write but when we are doing SDW they give us a photo and we write about what we think the photo is.

Swimming


IALT: develop my swimming skills.

What
I am learning to swim.

So What
I have leaned lots and lots of swimming skills at starfish in 2 weeks.I have done freestyle,backstroke and many more.I enjoyed playing the game also doing some surviving skills at starfish.I found doing the side breath stroke is really challenging for me because i couldn't get the right position.

Now What
I want to improve on my side breath stroke because side breath stroke is really challenging and I want to challenge myself to do it. My next step is to do more and more difficult swimming skills.

Word Study - Blog 1 term 3

What?
I am learning to understand how words are formed using roots, prefixes and suffixes.

So What?
I have learned that words that have the root hydra- and aqua- mean water. For example hydrate= means to add water or moisture to something to supply something with water.

I have learned that words that have the root spect- mean look / see. For example spectacles = glasses that help someone see better.

Now what?
I feel that I have a beginning understanding of the root words aqua-, hydra-, and spect

What?
we did our student led conference on June 28th 

So What ?
At the student led conference I shared my math goal and reading and also writing goals.I am proud of that I was confident.I enjoyed sharing all my learning to my parents.

Now What ?
reading:  I want to improve on my vocabulary.
Math: to improve on my division algorithm with 4 or 5 numbers.
writing: to use paragraph.
